This is a recipe from my mother-in-law and a good one for this time of year. Very yummy and always a hit!!!
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 beaten eggs
1 cup pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup chocolate chips (you can add another 1/2 cup if you want)
Blend sugars and butter in mixer. Add eggs, then pumpkin and vanilla. Beat. Add flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon & nutmeg. Mix all together. Add chocolate chips.
Bake on greased cookie sheet 12-15 min at 350 degrees. The cookies are done when there is a little brown on the tops and a little brown on the undersides. They soften as they sit.
