Things were going great until Jake let the kids help a little too much with the smoke bombs. He would light a smoke bomb and let the kids throw them off the balcony. Luke decided he wanted a turn so Jake told him he had to throw it as soon as he gave it to him. (Yeah, I was a little bugged with Jake for letting Luke have a turn in the first place). Long story short, Luke being a stubborn little almost three year old, refused to throw it and started running with it. He finally dropped it after it had burned his little fingers. After soaking them in cold water and giving him some tylenol, he was ready for the sparklers.
Then on Saturday we had a fun day at Metro Beach which is only about 5-10 minutes away from where we live. It's not the prettiest, cleanest beach(St. Clair Lake) but a great place to spend the day and Luke loved playing in the sand.
They also have a splash zone area for kids to play in. It's a nice place to take them to get cleaned up after they've played at the beach.
By the way, a little baby update, I had a couple of apts with my OB this last week and she said I can get induced on the 23rd of July!!! So, only two in a half weeks to go...I am counting the days. I look like I'm about ready to pop!

Amy! I love seeing those pics of Luke. Poor Kylee doesn't understand that Luke no longer lives here. It's sad!! I was laughing so hard on the comment you wrote on corrine's blog..."Where's my ROCK"lol--We must be behind on the new trend of getting rid of our orginal wedding rings!
Looks like we havae already been replaced!! I am so happy you have found fun friends and are liking it there. I miss you guys so much!! I can't beleive your having a baby so soon- yay!! I can't wait. I am looking for airline tickets to come and see you before the end of the year. I want to see pictures of that growing belly.
So where's the picture of you in your swimsuit? :) Just kidding!
It looks like you had a very fun 4th. I'm glad that you have already made friends. That makes it so much easier to be away from family.
